Hi, I'm Sarah Mulu!

I’m an undergraduate at UNC Chapel Hill majoring in Media & Journalism with a minor in African, African American, and Diaspora Studies. I love all things music — writing, creating, listening — and my cat Jazzy is my whole world.

Whether performing with my a cappella group the Walk-Ons or reporting stories that highlight community voices, I’m drawn to rhythm, emotion, and human connection in every form of storytelling.

I love all things relating to music — writing, creating, and listening — and I’m building a career that bridges storytelling and design. Through journalism, song, and community engagement, I explore identity, sound, and the small details that connect us all.

When I’m not studying or reporting, you’ll find me performing with the Walk-Ons A Cappella or curled up with Jazzy — my endlessly curious (and slightly spoiled) cat.
